Drive for Schools

The Drive for Schools fundraiser is under way!  Please look for raffle tickets coming home with your kids this week.

This is one of Rio Del Mar School’s best fundraisers because 100% of our tickets sales go directly to Rio Del Mar School!

This year, ALL KIDS GET PRIZES for selling tickets!

The Students Prize Giveaway days will be held on Thursday October 4th and Thursday October 18th during lunch.

Wanted: 2013 Auction Theme Ideas!

The party you’ll want to mark your 2013 calendar for is the wildly fabulous Auction Dinner event on Saturday, March 9 at Seascape Resort. The talented auction committee is meeting on Monday and one of the things they will be trying to nail down is the theme of the event. Last year it was Mad Men and the year before that it was Roaring 20’s. Now it’s YOUR turn to brainstorm a great theme, and the committee is soliciting ideas from parents for something a whole lot of awesome. E-mail your ideas to the Parent Alliance e-mail box by Monday morning so they have the list for the meeting!!! Who knows, you could be the brainchild of Rio’s best auction EVAH!

Don’t delay: order your Innisbrook today!

Wrapping paper, chocolates, jewelry, yummy baked goods and more can be ordered through Innisbrook. Have you finalized your orders yet? There’s still time, so locate your catalogues and order up. We CAN meet our goal of raising $25,000 with your help and it’s easy. Just go to Rio del Mar Elementary school’s home page and click the Innisbrook link.

Parent Alliance Meeting Tonight, September 11th @ 6:30 PM, in the library.

One of the most effective ways to stay current with Rio’s happenings is to attend the monthly Parent Alliance meetings. They are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the library. Snacks, daycare, and informative information is provided, and EVERYONE is welcome. Please mark your calendars and make an effort to attend. After all, without you, there would be no Parent Alliance!

Innisbrook Sales: Our Goal is to Raise 25,000!

If you haven’t had the chance to leaf through your Innisbrook catalogue yet, you’ll be amazed at the quality of this year’s offerings. We’re talking everything you’ll need to get through the holidays with style and ease: super cute wrapping paper, gift bags and tags, boxes, bows, jewelry, tasty treats, magazine subscriptions and so much more! Everyone on your list will have something special this year, and don’t forget your friends’ and neighbors’ lists, too.

Please remember that the first time your visit http://www.innisbrook.com to enter your orders, you must 1) create a parent user account, and 2) enter your child’s name and teacher. All checks should be made out to RDMPA and all money should be returned in the large envelope to your teacher or the school office.

Most importantly? Never let your child sell outside the home without your supervision!

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact Athena Wolfe at athena2w@comcast.net or at 334-4400.
