Jogging-for-the-Arts Friday March 4th

On Friday, March 4th come ready to run, jog, or walk!  Jogging-for-the-Arts is a fun and healthy way for our families to raise money for Rio del Mar School’s Arts Programming and SPECTRA artists. Every student can easily join in and contribute at some level.  We are asking each student to try and raise $25.00 or more.  There will be special prizes awarded for our top fundraisers.

It is simple: ask friends and relatives to support you when you run by contributing in one of two ways:

  • A flat donation (preferred)
  • A per lap donation (no more than ten laps)

Donations can be:

  • Given to you.  Please make checks payable to RDMPA
  • Online via the PayPal “Donate” button on the school’s website (
  • Checks can be sent to the school (819 Pinehurst Drive, Aptos CA 95003)

An e-mail will be sent home to make it easy to forward this information to friends and family on your e-mail list.

Then, on March 4th, it’s time to have fun running around the track with your friends.  At the end of your run, enjoy a treat and cheer on other runners.

On the reverse side is a pledge sheet to record your donations. Please bring it, along with your collected pledges, on or before March 4th. If donations are sent directly to the school or made through Pay Pal, have sponsors note your child’s name or notify you.  You will have until Friday, March 11th to collect any outstanding pledges.

Parents:  Come out and cheer your child on!  A jogging schedule is posted online at the Rio website.

Top Prizes:

  • $100 gift credit card.
  • All students raising at least $50.00 will be entered into a drawing for a $50.00 gift card to Toys R Us.
  • Everyone obtaining a pledge of any amount will be entered into a drawing for movie passes.
